never, never give up

we often hear people say, "never give up." these can be encouraging words and words of determination. a person who believes in them will keep trying to reach his goal no matter how many times he fails. in my opinion, the quality of determination to succeed is an important one to have. therefore, i believe that we should never give up.

one reason is that if we give up too easily, we will rarely achieve anything. it is not unusual for us to fail in our first attempt at something new, so we should not feel discouraged and should try again. besides, if we always give up when we fail, we will not be able to develop new skills and grow as people. another reason we should never give up is that we can learn from our mistakes only if we make a new effort. if we do not try again, the lesson we have learned is wasted. finally, we should never give up because as we work to reach our goals, we develop confidence, and this confidence can help us succeed in other areas of our lives. if we never challenge ourselves, we will begin to doubt our abilities.

in short, it is important that we do not give up when working for our goals. whether we succeed in the end or not, we will learn something, and what we learn will help us to become better, more confident people. furthermore, if we give up, we have non chance of attaining our goals, but if we keep trying, there is always a chance that we will succeed one day.

every one of us, rich or poor, should at least have one or two good friends. my friends will listen to me when i want to speak, will wipe my eyes when i cry, will take care of me when i am sick, and my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.

friendship is a kind of treasure in our lives. it is actually like a bottle of wine, the longer it is kept, the sweeter it will be. it is also like a cup of tea. when we are thirsty, it will be our best choice, but when we have enough time to enjoy ourselves, it is also the most fragrant drink.

all of us have to spare some time for personal lives. we have to find the chance to e_press our emotion and love. when staying with our friends, we can release ourselves completely. we can do whatever we want, we can laugh together, talk together, and even cry to-gether. i should say that being together with our best friends is the most wonderful moment of our lives.

as we know, we would feel lonely if we didn"t even have a friend. but it doesn"t mean we could depend on our friends all the time. there is a famous motto saying that “a friend is like a quilt with cotton wadding, but the real thing that keeps you warm is your own temperature.” it is really true. we have to work hard together with our friends, encourage each other and help each other. when we receive love and friendship, we should repay as much as we can.

finally, let"s pray together now that one day, all of us could find the person we want to find, and could enjoy a real beautiful friendship in our lives. let"s pray the flower of friendship be-tween our friends and us would always bloom brightly in our hearts

students, guests , teachers and honorable judges

good morning !

my great pleasure to share my dream with you today. my dream is to become a teacher....

as the whole world has its boundaries, limits and freedom coe_ist in our life. i don’t e_pect complete freedom, which is impossible. i simply have a dream that supports my life.

i dream that one day, i could escape from the deep sea of thick schoolbooks and lead my own life. with my favorite fictions, i lie freely on the green grass, smelling the spring, listening to the wind singing, breathing the fresh and cool air and dissolve my soul in nature at last. simple and short enjoyment can bring me great satisfaction.

i dream that one day the adults could throw their prejudice of comic and cartoon away. they could keep a lovely heart that can share sorrow and happiness with us while watching cartoon or doing personal things. that’s the real communication of heart to heart.

i have the belief that my dreams should come true. i am looking forward to some day coming when i am like a proud eagle, which flies to the blue and vast sky.

the night before i was heading for scotland, i was invited to host the final of "china"s got talent" show in shanghai with the 80,000 live audience in the stadium. guess who was the performing guest? susan boyle. and i told her, "i"m going to scotland the ne_t day." she sang beautifully, and she even managed to say a few words in chinese. [chinese] so it"s not like "hello" or "thank you," that ordinary stuff. it means "green onion for free." why did she say that? because it was a line from our chinese parallel susan boyle -- a 50-some year-old woman, a vegetable vendor in shanghai, who loves singing western opera, but she didn"t understand any english or french or italian, so she managed to fill in the lyrics with vegetable names in chinese. (laughter) and the last sentence of nessun dorma that she was singing in the stadium was "green onion for free." so [as] susan boyle was saying that, 80,000 live audience sang together. that was hilarious.

so i guess both susan boyle and this vegetable vendor in shanghai belonged to otherness. they were the least e_pected to be successful in the business called entertainment, yet their courage and talent brought them through. and a show and a platform gave them the stage to realize their dreams. well, being different is not that difficult. we are all different from different perspectives. but i think being different is good, because you present a different point of view. you may have the chance to make a difference.

my generation has been very fortunate to witness and participate in the historic transformation of china that has made so many changes in the past 20, 30 years. i remember that in the year of 1990, when i was graduating from college, i was applying for a job in the sales department of the first five-star hotel in beijing, great wall sheraton -- it"s still there. so after being interrogated by this japanese manager for a half an hour, he finally said, "so, miss yang, do you have any questions to ask me?" i summoned my courage and poise and said, "yes, but could you let me know, what actually do you sell?" i didn"t have a clue what a sales department was about in a five-star hotel. that was the first day i set my foot in a five-star hotel.

around the same time, i was going through an audition -- the first ever open audition by national television in china -- with another thousand college girls. the producer told us they were looking for some sweet, innocent and beautiful fresh face. so when it was my turn, i stood up and said, "why [do] women"s personalities on television always have to be beautiful, sweet, innocent and, you know, supportive? why can"t they have their own ideas and their own voice?" i thought i kind of offended them. but actually, they were impressed by my words. and so i was in the second round of competition, and then the third and the fourth. after seven rounds of competition, i was the last one to survive it. so i was on a national television prime-time show. and believe it or not, that was the first show on chinese television that allowed its hosts to speak out of their own minds without reading an approved script. (applause) and my weekly audience at that time was between 200 to 300 million people.

well after a few years, i decided to go to the u.s. and columbia university to pursue my postgraduate studies, and then started my own media company, which was unthought of during the years that i started my career. so we do a lot of things. i"ve interviewed more than a thousand people in the past. and sometimes i have young people approaching me say, "lan, you changed my life," and i feel proud of that. but then we are also so fortunate to witness the transformation of the whole country. i was in beijing"s bidding for the olympic games. i was representing the shanghai e_po. i saw china embracing the world and vice versa. but then sometimes i"m thinking, what are today"s young generation up to? how are they different, and what are the differences they are going to make to shape the future of china, or at large, the world?

so today i want to talk about young people through the platform of social media. first of all, who are they? [what] do they look like? well this is a girl called guo meimei -- 20 years old, beautiful. she showed off her e_pensive bags, clothes and car on her microblog, which is the chinese version of twitter. and she claimed to be the general manager of red cross at the chamber of commerce. she didn"t realize that she stepped on a sensitive nerve and aroused national questioning, almost a turmoil, against the credibility of red cross. the controversy was so heated that the red cross had to open a press conference to clarify it, and the investigation is going on.

so far, as of today, we know that she herself made up that title -- probably because she feels proud to be associated with charity. all those e_pensive items were given to her as gifts by her boyfriend, who used to be a board member in a subdivision of red cross at chamber of commerce. it"s very complicated to e_plain. but anyway, the public still doesn"t buy it. it is still boiling. it shows us a general mistrust of government or government-backed institutions, which lacked transparency in the past. and also it showed us the power and the impact of social media as microblog.

microblog boomed in the year of 20__, with visitors doubled and time spent on it tripled. sina.com, a major news portal, alone has more than 140 million microbloggers. on tencent, 200 million. the most popular blogger -- it"s not me -- it"s a movie star, and she has more than 9.5 million followers, or fans. about 80 percent of those microbloggers are young people, under 30 years old. and because, as you know, the traditional media is still heavily controlled by the government, social media offers an opening to let the steam out a little bit. but because you don"t have many other openings, the heat coming out of this opening is sometimes very strong, active and even violent.

so through microblogging, we are able to understand chinese youth even better. so how are they different? first of all, most of them were born in the 80s and 90s, under the one-child policy. and because of selected abortion by families who favored boys to girls, now we have ended up with 30 million more young men than women. that could pose a potential danger to the society, but who knows; we"re in a globalized world, so they can look for girlfriends from other countries. most of them have fairly good education. the illiteracy rate in china among this generation is under one percent. in cities, 80 percent of kids go to college. but they are facing an aging china with a population above 65 years old coming up with seven-point-some percent this year, and about to be 15 percent by the year of 2030. and you know we have the tradition that younger generations support the elders financially, and taking care of them when they"re sick. so it means young couples will have to support four parents who have a life e_pectancy of 73 years old.

so making a living is not that easy for young people. college graduates are not in short supply. in urban areas, college graduates find the starting salary is about 400 u.s. dollars a month, while the average rent is above $500. so what do they do? they have to share space -- squeezed in very limited space to save money -- and they call themselves "tribe of ants." and for those who are ready to get married and buy their apartment, they figured out they have to work for 30 to 40 years to afford their first apartment. that ratio in america would only cost a couple five years to earn, but in china it"s 30 to 40 years with the skyrocketing real estate price.

among the 200 million migrant workers, 60 percent of them are young people. they find themselves sort of sandwiched between the urban areas and the rural areas. most of them don"t want to go back to the countryside, but they don"t have the sense of belonging. they work for longer hours with less income, less social welfare. and they"re more vulnerable to job losses, subject to inflation, tightening loans from banks, appreciation of the renminbi, or decline of demand from europe or america for the products they produce. last year, though, an appalling incident in a southern oem manufacturing compound in china: 13 young workers in their late teens and early 20s committed suicide, just one by one like causing a contagious disease. but they died because of all different personal reasons. but this whole incident aroused a huge outcry from society about the isolation, both physical and mental, of these migrant workers.

for those who do return back to the countryside, they find themselves very welcome locally, because with the knowledge, skills and networks they have learned in the cities, with the assistance of the internet, they"re able to create more jobs, upgrade local agriculture and create new business in the less developed market. so for the past few years, the coastal areas, they found themselves in a shortage of labor.

these diagrams show a more general social background. the first one is the engels coefficient, which e_plains that the cost of daily necessities has dropped its percentage all through the past decade, in terms of family income, to about 37-some percent. but then in the last two years, it goes up again to 39 percent, indicating a rising living cost. the gini coefficient has already passed the dangerous line of 0.4. now it"s 0.5 -- even worse than that in america -- showing us the income inequality. and so you see this whole society getting frustrated about losing some of its mobility. and also, the bitterness and even resentment towards the rich and the powerful is quite widespread. so any accusations of corruption or backdoor dealings between authorities or business would arouse a social outcry or even unrest.

so through some of the hottest topics on microblogging, we can see what young people care most about. social justice and government accountability runs the first in what they demand. for the past decade or so, a massive urbanization and development have let us witness a lot of reports on the forced demolition of private property. and it has aroused huge anger and frustration among our young generation. sometimes people get killed, and sometimes people set themselves on fire to protest. so when these incidents are reported more and more frequently on the internet, people cry for the government to take actions to stop this.

so the good news is that earlier this year, the state council passed a new regulation on house requisition and demolition and passed the right to order forced demolition from local governments to the court. similarly, many other issues concerning public safety is a hot topic on the internet. we heard about polluted air, polluted water, poisoned food. and guess what, we have faked beef. they have sorts of ingredients that you brush on a piece of chicken or fish, and it turns it to look like beef. and then lately, people are very concerned about cooking oil, because thousands of people have been found [refining] cooking oil from restaurant slop. so all these things have aroused a huge outcry from the internet. and fortunately, we have seen the government responding more timely and also more frequently to the public concerns.

while young people seem to be very sure about their participation in public policy-making, but sometimes they"re a little bit lost in terms of what they want for their personal life. china is soon to pass the u.s. as the number one market for lu_ury brands -- that"s not including the chinese e_penditures in europe and elsewhere. but you know what, half of those consumers are earning a salary below 2,000 u.s. dollars. they"re not rich at all. they"re taking those bags and clothes as a sense of identity and social status. and this is a girl e_plicitly saying on a tv dating show that she would rather cry in a bmw than smile on a bicycle. but of course, we do have young people who would still prefer to smile, whether in a bmw or [on] a bicycle.

so in the ne_t picture, you see a very popular phenomenon called "naked" wedding, or "naked" marriage. it does not mean they will wear nothing in the wedding, but it shows that these young couples are ready to get married without a house, without a car, without a diamond ring and without a wedding banquet, to show their commitment to true love. and also, people are doing good through social media. and the first picture showed us that a truck caging 500 homeless and kidnapped dogs for food processing was spotted and stopped on the highway with the whole country watching through microblogging. people were donating money, dog food and offering volunteer work to stop that truck. and after hours of negotiation, 500 dogs were rescued. and here also people are helping to find missing children. a father posted his son"s picture onto the internet. after thousands of [unclear], the child was found, and we witnessed the reunion of the family through microblogging.

so happiness is the most popular word we have heard through the past two years. happiness is not only related to personal e_periences and personal values, but also, it"s about the environment. people are thinking about the following questions: are we going to sacrifice our environment further to produce higher gdp? how are we going to perform our social and political reform to keep pace with economic growth, to keep sustainability and stability? and also, how capable is the system of self-correctness to keep more people content with all sorts of friction going on at the same time? i guess these are the questions people are going to answer. and our younger generation are going to transform this country while at the same time being transformed themselves.

thank you very much.

(applause)

if i were a boy again, i would practice perseverance(毅力)more often, and never give up a thing because it was hard or inconvenient. if we want light, we must conquer darkness. perseverance can sometimes equal genius in its results. there are only two creatures, says a proverb, who can surmount the pyramids the eagle and the snail.

if i were a boy again, i would look on the cheerful side. life is very much like a mirror: if you smile upon it, i smile back upon you; but if you frown and look doubtful on it, you will get a similar look in return.

finally, instead of trying hard to be happy, as if that were the sole purpose of life, i would, if i were a boy again, i would still try harder to make others happy.

good afternoon ,ladies and gentlemen!

i’m very honored to stand here and give you a short speech! to begin with ,i want to ask a question .does everybody dream a good dream last night? actually ,today i want to talk about dream with you. of course, what i want to talk is not a dream you have last night, but a dream—— about life.

everyone has dreams about life, different dreams at different life stage, and we need dreams to support us. dreams are like the stars we never reach in the sky,but like most mariners(水手),we can chart our course by them. with the dream,we have a direction, with a direction, we were no longer confused.with the dream, there is hope, with hope, we have the strength to fight.

but i know, life is tough, and there are always ups and downs, maybe we fail in the way to our aims, and we may feel depressed ,whenever at this time, the dream in our heart can always comfort us, encourage us ,and support us to move ahead .

young!fortunately, i am young now. just due to it, i know that nothing is impossible.i firmly believe that nothing can stand in my way. if

i can"t realize my dream,it result from that i haven"t work harder enough and i won"t find other e_cuses. if no people believe you, you can make it to prove that you are right. if you think the god haven"t blessed you and there is no truth here, you can become the god and create the truth.

"my breath swallows the sky and make the yellow river overflow, my sword is famous in kyushu and it can collapse the five sacred mountains." at some time in the past i also had am bitious words and i had some achievements. each achievement results from my hard work. i always believe that "if you want to have more achievements than others, you must work harder."

in some e_tent, the dream is the hope. if you can insist on doing something, the victory will come.

hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly. hold fast to dreams, for when dreams go, life is a barren field frozen with snow. so my dear friends, think of your old and maybe dead dreams. whatever it is, pick it up and make it alive from today. let"s--- move ----out!

thank you for your listening!

when henry ford decided to produce his famous v-8 motor, he chose to build an engine with the entire eight cylinders cast in one block, and instructed his engineers to produce a design in one for the engine. the design was placed on paper, but the engineers agreed, to a man, that it was simply impossible to cast an eight-cylinder engine-block in one piece.

ford said, “produce it anyway.”

“but,” they replied, “it’s impossible!”

“go ahead.” ford commanded, “and stay on the job until you succeed, no matter how much time is required.”

the engineers went ahead. there was nothing else for them to do, if they were to remain on the ford staff. si_ months passed and nothing happened. another si_ months passed, and still nothing happened. the engineers tried every conceivable plan to carry out the orders, but the thing seemed out of the question:“impossible!”

at the end of the year ford checked with his engineers, and again they informed him they had found no way to carry out his orders.

“go right head,” said ford, “i want it, and i’ll have it.”

they went ahead, and then, as if by a stroke of magic, the secret was discovered.

the ford determination had won once more!

this story may not be described with minute accuracy, but the sum and substance of it is correct. deduce from it, you who wish to think and grow rich, the secret of the ford millions, if you can. you’ll not have to look very far.

henry ford was successful, because he understood and applied the principles of success. one of these is desire: knowing out the lines in which the secret of his stupendous achievement have been described. if you can do this, if you can lay your finger on the particular group of principles which made henry ford rich, you can equal his achievements in almost any calling for which you are suited.

we are the world ,we are the future

someone said "we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite". i don’t know who wrote these words, but i’ve always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it to be. we are all in the position of the farmers. if we plant a good seed ,we reap a good harvest. if we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.

we are young. "how to spend the youth?" it is a meaningful question. to answer it, first i have to ask "what do you understand by the word youth?" youth is not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. it’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. it’s the matter of the will. it’s the freshness of the deep spring of life.

a poet said "to see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wild flower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. several days ago, i had a chance to listen to a lecture. i learnt a lot there. i’d like to share it with all of you. let’s show our right palms. we can see three lines that show how our love.career and life is. i have a short line of life. what about yours? i wondered whether we could see our future in this way. well, let’s make a fist. where is our future? where is our love, career, and life? tell me.yeah, it is in our hands. it is held in ourselves.

we all want the future to be better than the past. but the future can go better itself. don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. from the past, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. we’ve learnt that we can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. failure doesn’t mean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way. failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.

as what i said at the beginning, "we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite". the past has gone. nothing we do will change it. but the future is in front of us. believe that what we give to the world, the world will give to us. and from today on, let’s be the owners of ourselves, and speak out "we are the world, we are the future."

大學(xué)英語(yǔ)勵(lì)志演講稿 英語(yǔ)勵(lì)志演講稿范文(一) ladies and gentlemen , good afternoon! i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is "youth". i hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it.

first i want to ask you some questions: 1、do you know what is youth?

2、how do you master your youth? youth

youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life . youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often e_ists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals.

years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust . whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s ne_t and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .

when the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80. thank you! 英語(yǔ)勵(lì)志演講稿范文(二) good evening , ladies and gentlemen . i am joy and glad to give you a speech about stress , yes , just the topic you see on the screen. psychologist tell us that stress is a state of worry caused by the problem of living , such as too much work or study , heavy responsibilities , and quickened pace of life .

statistics show that stress comes from every detail in our life . financial problems , poor health , being laid off may be the stress that most adults now suffering . as students in the university , we are also under our special stress . while study , having to take various tests and submit a project against a deadline may put a great pressure on us . and the things make us felt stressed may be our parents’s greater e_pectations on us than we could reach . later , when we are likely to graduate , some other problems will also annoy us . i think we will worry a lot about our ability to compete in the job market and how we can best use what we’ve learned at college in our future job . the chief problem we should face to is our atitude towards stress .people usually say they can not live in the sun e_cept they escape from stress . it’s unwelcome ! yes , however , very necessary . just image a world where stress does not e_ist and people lead their life in a very comfortable way . but is this kind of living condition as perfect as we hope ? without stress , they may feel very satisfied with the current life but lack of power to discover new things . too much www.oh100.com result in nothing e_cept a countermarch of the society . no stress , no development . so a certain amount of stress is good . it can stimulate us and increase our level of alertness . and our answer to stress is another vital problem . how to do with ourselves when stress suddenly break into our life ? to wave the white flag and admit our unability , to give up to our ideality , or worstly , just to suicide as to put an end to everything … of cause not . the principle is to tackle with stress gentlely and harmoniously. we should try our best to release ourselves . such as to do some e_ercise , to linsen to traditional chinese music or classical music to ease our minds and to learn to view these changes of life as challenges .it’s no use crying over spilt milk . only to accept what has happened can solve the problem .

ok , i think i was under large stress 3 minutes before , but now i am here and have finished my speech . here is the last thing i want to add to my topic ,face to it and overcome it ,stress is also a piece of cake

as you slowly open your eyes, look around, notice where the light comes into your room; listen carefully, see if there are new sounds you can recognize; feel with your body and spirit, and see if you can sense the freshness in the air.

yes, yes, yes, it’s a new day, it’s a different day, and it’s a bright day! and most importantly, it’s a new beginning for your life, a beginning where you are going to make new decisions, take new actions, make new friends, and take your life to a totally unprecedented(空前的) level.

in your mind’s eye, you can see clearly the things you want to have, the paces you intend to go, the relationships you desire to develop, and the positions you aspire(勵(lì)志) to reach.

you can hear your laughters of joy and happiness on the day when everything happens as you dream. you can see the smiles on the people around you when the magic moment strikes. you can feel your face is getting red, your heart is beating fast, and your blood is rushing all over your body, to every single corner of your being!

you know all this is real as long as you are confident, passionate and committed!(效忠的) and you are confident, you are passionate, you are committed!

you will no longer fear making new sounds, showing new facial e_pressions, using your body in new ways, approaching new people, and asking new questions.

you will live every single day of your life with absolute passion, and you will show your passion through the words you speak and the actions you take.

you will focus all your time and effort on the most important goals of your life. you will never succumb(屈服,屈從) to challenges of hardships.

這篇名為"a pep talk from kid president to you"的演講,已有1600萬(wàn)觀眾看過(guò)。

a pep talk from kid president to you

"總統(tǒng)小孩"帶給你的精神講話

i think we all need a pep talk.

the world needs you. stop being boring. yeah, you. boring is easy. everybody can be boring, but you"re gooder than that.

life is not a game, people! life isn"t a cereal either. well, it is a cereal. and if life is a game, aren"t we all on the same team? i mean, really right? i"m on your team. be on my team. this is life, people! you"ve got air coming through your nose. you"ve got a heartbeat! that means it"s time to do something! a poem: "two roads diverged in the woods…and i took the road less traveled…and it hurt, man!" really bad! rocks! thorns! and glass! my pants broke! waahh! not cool, robert frost! but what if there really were two paths? i wanna be in the one that leads to awesome.

it"s like that dude journey said, "don"t stop believing, unless your dream is stupid." then you should get a better dream. i think that"s how it goes. get a better dream, then keep going. keep going, keep going and keep going. what if michael jordan had quit? well, he did quit. but he retired. yeah, that"s it. he retired. but before that, in high school, what if he quit when he didn"t make the team? he would have never made space jam, and i love space jam. what will be your space jam? what will you create when you make the world awesome? nothing if you keep sitting there! that"s why i"m talking to you today.

this is your time! this is my time! it"s our time! we can make everyday better for each other. if we"re all on the same team, let"s start acting like it. we"ve got work to do. we can cry about it, or we can dance about it. we were made to be awesome. let"s get out there. i don"t know everything. i"m just a kid, but i do know this: it"s everybody"s duty to give the world a reason to dance. so get to it!

you"ve just been pep talked! create something that will make the world awesome. play ball!

oh, hi everybody! we"re all working hard to make this an awesome year for other people, and you guys are doing it! you"ve been super encouraging to me, so i wanna return the favor. who do you know that needs some encouragement? pass this pep talk along, and let"s get the whole world to dance. i"m dedicating this video today to my friend gabbi. she"s a cool kid, she likes pancakes and she"s fighting cancer, like a boss! and to all you watching, who encourages you? send them this video and let them know. so get to it!

英語(yǔ)勵(lì)志演講稿范文(一) ladies and gentlemen , good afternoon! i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. today my topic is "youth". i hope you will like it , and found the importance in your youth so that more cherish it. first i want to ask you some questions: 1、do you know what is youth? 2、how do you master your youth? youth youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind ; it is not rosy cheeks , red lips and supple knees, it is a matter of the emotions : it is the freshness ; it is the freshness of the deep springs of life . youth means a temperamental predominance of courage over timidity of the appetite , for adventure over the love of ease. this often e_ists in a man of 60 more than a boy of 20 . nobody grows old merely by a number of years . we grow old by deserting our ideals. years wrinkle the skin , but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul . worry , fear , self –distrust bows the heart and turns the spirit back to dust . whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s ne_t and the joy of the game of living . in the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young . when the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80. thank you!

英語(yǔ)勵(lì)志演講稿范文(二) good evening , ladies and gentlemen . i am joy and glad to give you a speech about stress , yes , just the topic you see on the screen. psychologist tell us that stress is a state of worry caused by the problem of living , such as too much work or study , heavy responsibilities , and quickened pace of life . and our answer to stress is another vital problem . how to do with ourselves when stress suddenly break into our life ? to wave the white flag and admit our unability , to give up to our ideality , or worstly , just to suicide as to put an end to everything … of cause not . the principle is to tackle with stress gentlely and harmoniously. we should try our best to release ourselves . such as to do some e_ercise , to linsen to traditional chinese music or classical music to ease our minds and to learn to view these changes of life as challenges .it’s no use crying over spilt milk . only to accept what has happened can solve the problem .
